Invitation - An afternoon in Battle

Dear Friends,

I hope you all had a great summer. I am back from Moscow, fit and ready to take over the town of Battle! In this creative crusade, I would like you to join forces and meet me next Saturday 17th September for an afternoon and evening of artistic feast!

My work will be exhibited this September in three different venues around Battle. Thus, I would like to seize this exciting opportunity to embark on a tour of the historic city in your exquisite company. As your guide for the day, I hope to introduce you to my recent works and to share with you my passion.

The meeting of the troops will take place at the Saffron Gallery from 3pm. The gallery is located on Battle's High Street, 10 mins walk from the train station: http://www.saffrongallery.co.uk/contact-saffron.php. The guided tour will then leave the gallery at 5pm.
A scaled down version of Cheburashka, my resin sculpture selected for the Broomhill Sculpture Prize, is on display at the gallery. Please don’t forget to vote for me by following this link: http://www.broomhillart.co.uk/national-sculpture-prize/your-vote.html!

We will then follow the Battle Arts Trail. It is approximately a 30 minutes walk. Girls, I recommend to bring sturdy shoes with you as it might be tricky to cross the fields in your glamorous heels.
On the exterior of the 1066 Pub, overlooking the Battle abbey, you will encounter my steel sculpture Grater, originally produced for the Third Moscow Biennale of Contemporary Art and selected earlier this year for the Open West Competition. For more information about the trail, please visit http://battlearts.co.uk/art-trail-2011/.

And our final destination will be the private view of the Battle Art Fair! My latest installation Last Supper adorns the entrance to the fair.

PS to my London friends:
Two trains per hour leave London for Battle from Charing Cross. It is an hour and a half journey! So do come, it is not that far!

PS 2:
Don’t forget to vote for the Broomhill Sculpture Prize! ;-)
